Like other types of domestic cats, the Siamese has a life expectancy of 14-20 years if kept indoors. Cats allowed outside are more prone to accidents.

Most cats will live between 15 and 20 years, depending on the breed. Larger breeds are known to live shorter spans, while smaller breeds live longer. Siamese cats are generally small and average about 18 years, although I do have friend that had her Siamese for 22 years. Keeping the cat indoors is always helpful, indoor cats usually live longer.

Siamese cats have an above average life expectancy of fifteen to twenty years, and sometimes even longer! They usually out live their other feline counterparts by five to ten years, making this breed a great choice for someone looking for a longtime companion.

Siamese cats generally live longer than average. A well cared for Siamese cat can live anywhere from 15 to 20 years. In order to extend your cat's life expectancy, consider making your cat an indoor-only cat.
