What is the history of the Fender guitar?

Fender guitar was created by a Califonian inventor named Leo Fender in the 1950's. In 1951 the broadcaster, now the telecater, then the stratocaster in 1954.

In 1946, Clarence Leonidas "Leo" Fender started the company in Fullerton, California, working from his radio repair shop, building amplifiers for musicians. In 1950, the Esquire guitar was designed. The company has been bought and sold, and has taken over numerous other brands. Leo was also involved with Music Man, and G&L guitars. See Wikipedia, search for "Fender guitar history".
