The rate for scrap copper can be divided in to subsections which include No. 1 heavy, No. 2 scrap, light scrap, No. 1 bare bright copper wire, No. 1 copper wire scrap, and copper/fractional electric motor scrap. In general though at this time copper is currently trading at 2. 99 a pound at this time.
