GDP per capita by country is the Gross Domestic Product generated per person. It is an average that is calculated by including all citizens -- not just those who are working within the country.
Liechtenstein is ranked first and the US is tenth. How is this possible? Qatar, Luxembourg, Bermuda, Norway, Kuwait, Jersey, Brunei and Singapore all outrank the United States. In last place, ranked 229, is Zimbabwe.
