The firing order is 1 5 4 2 6 3 7 8. Number 1 cylinder is the front right cylinder in this case.

The following firing order for a Ford 302.The distributor rotates counterclockwise. The order by numbers are 1 5 4 2 6 3 7 8. 1 2 3 4 on the pass side. 5 6 7 8 on drivers side.
