The absolute easier way is to hire someone to do it. However, if you don't want to spend that money, A tall ladder (so you are not straining towards the ceiling) and several rolls of duct tape (to prevent painting on the wall) will do the trick.

Using painter's tape can make it easier, but applying the tape is an extra, time-consuming step. It's also added expense, and you can't always count on the tape preventing accidental bleeding of the paint underneath. Just begin painting carefully, using a good brush with a sharp edge. Keep a damp cloth at hand to wipe away any mishaps.

There is no easy way. I would tape the trim and walls. Lay down sheets to catch paint droppings. and using a brush start on the trim. I would wash the trim first with a good cleaner.

The easiest way to paint a ceiling trim is to mask off the ceiling areas so that such areas do not get affected. Thereafter,you can paint the trim by spray gun.
