What is the difference between trinkets, trash, and treasure?

It's all in the mind of the beholder. To me, most of my wifes trinkets are just trash, but treasure to her. To her, all the trinkets I find metal detecting is trash, but treasure to me.

Maybe you have heard, "One man's trash is another's treasure. " Trash is worthless while treasure is valuable, and it depends evaluates them. Trinkets are small items, often of slight value.

Eventually the eye of the beholder. Trinkets are small items of little value. Trash are items of no value. Treasure are items of value.
