These are specific signal encryption formats for particular kinds of cell phone service carriers and phones, I am familiar mostly with CDMA formatted phones which have no detachable sim card.

TDMA, FDMA and CDMA are technologies used for mobile or wireless communications. They came at different times. TDMA came first, then came FDMA and then CDMA. They are each updated versions of each other. The CDMA is what is current. The WDMA is being made to replace the CDMA. This newest version encompasses all the good qualities from the previous versions.
