Melanin is what gives your skin and hair its colour. Melatonin is a hormone that helps your sleep at night. Your body produces it naturally and most creatures in nature also produce it. If you are having problems with insomnia it is probably because your body is not producing enough melatonin.

Melanin is a pigment found in living organisms. It gives human skin and hair color. Melatonin is a chemical involved in regulating biological behaviors that occur in a 24 hour cycle, also known as circadian rhythm. While darkness stimulates melatonin production, the skin produces melanin when exposed to sunlight.
