Both Darvocet and Percocet are prescription painkillers, but Percocet is MUCH stronger than Darvocet. Percocet is a combination of oxycodone (5 mg or 10 mg) and acetaminophen. Percocet is a Schedule-II controlled substance (Schedule-II substances are the most highly regulated class of prescription medications). Darvocet is a combination of propoxyphene & acetaminophen. It is a Schedule-IV controlled substance.

Percocet is generally prescribed for more severe pain than darvocet. However, it is even more important to know that Percocet contains oxycodone which is slightly similar to codeine. It means that those with an allergy to codeine should not take Percocet.
