Between 40 and 80 psi is considered to be normal water pressure for your home. Above 80 PSI you should install a pressure regulator to avoid water hammer and other problems.

ideal 10 psi 8 will work but the higer the better for showers and filling your sinks faster i have a 10 psi and love it
