Bicarbonate or hydrogen carbonate is an anion from carbonic acid (H2CO3). The chemical formula is HCO3-. It is part of inorganic salts like sodium bicarbonate NaHCO3 also known as baking soda.

Natrium bicarbonate formula is NaHCO3. It's a weak acid and used as chemical yeast in pastry or to releave stomack pain. When a stronger acid is added or it's heated, it produce CO2 gaz.

bicarbonate can be represented by the chemical formula H2CO3. the "bi" in the front means 2 hydrogens, and carbonate is CO3.
