The chemical formula is H3PO4. True scientific name is Orthophosphoric acid or Phosphoric (V) acid. Scientists fully accept the name Phosphoric acid. It is a mineral(inorganic) acid and highly soluble in water. Used as a rust remover and to acidify foods like cola. Used in dentistry, orthodontics and teeth whiteners.

The chemical formula for phosphoric acid is H3PO4. The are three hydrogen atoms, one phosphorus atom and four oxygen atom in each molecule of phosphoric acid. When dissolved in water, phosphoric acid yields a mixture of hydrogen ions, hydrogen phosphate ions and phosphate ions.
