A stomach ulcer is a small corrosion in the gastrointestinal tract. It can be caused due to various reasons like improper diet, irregular eating habits, and excessive alcohol intake, smoking and family history. Apart from this, ulcers can also be caused due to the overdose or certain anti-inflammatory drugs like aspirin.They are found more in type 'O' blood.

Most stomach ulcers are caused by diets. Excess alcohol can cause them as well. Diets high in acidic foods can cause ulcers. Some people have a family history of ulcers and obtain them easier than others.
