The marriage cannot be ended any way other then by death. A ratified marriage consumated through intercourse is the only kind that can't be ended

Canon law marriage is a marriage which enjoys the favor of the law. The validity of a marriage must be upheld until the contrary is proven. You can have a wedding if it's not prohibited by law.
