You should always clean with a special suede or nubuck cleaner from Kiwi or similar manufacturer - NEVER use water, as it will likely spot your shoes. After cleaning it is highly recommended that you waterproof your shoes to protect them long-term. You could consider a drycleaner or "shoe doctor" but this would be more expensive.

A suede eraser can be used for cleaning suede shoes. Secondly, a dry towel can be used to scrub them. You can use a little bit of vinegar to clean suede but be sure to test it somewhere else. A metal suede brush can be used after you clean suede with an eraser as it can smooth the roughened surface.

To clean suede, you will need two things: a special cleaning agent and a special 2-sided brush. Special suede cleaners help break up dirt in suede without ruining the texture. A proper brush has a harder end to help scrape up dirt, and a softer end to remove it.
