What is the best way to care for knitted sweaters?

I have several knitted sweaters that I would like to keep and maintain.

Hand wash them in a gentle detergent like woolite. You want to dry them lying flat and do your best to store them folded.

You will want to wash them in cold water and be sure to air dry them. Even putting them on gentle cycle could be bad for them.

Knitted sweaters should only be handwashed. Even the "delicate" cycle on a washing machine can be rough enough to cause the knitting to become unwound. Handwashing provides clothing with a quality cleaning.

When you wash your sweaters, make sure you do not put them in the dryer. Lay them flat and reshape them.

It would probably be best to hand wash the sweaters with a gentle laundry dtergent and lay the sweater out on a towel to dry. you can also wash it on delicate cycle. Do not throw it in the dryer as it may shrink.

It is best to hand wash knitted items with a mild detergent like Woolite, and then lay the sweater on a towel to air dry. Washing machines and dryers can be rough on clothes, so avoid if possible. If you have any problems with moths in your home, purchase cedar blocks to prevent them from eating your clothes.
