Phoenix, Arizona would be my choice. The cost of living there is not too pricey for a large city. There are alot of retirees there so you'd have plenty of people your own age to mingle with. The city has alot of good restaurants and sights. The weather is perfect.

Phoenix Arizona is the largest city in Arizona. It would definitely be the best place to be if one was seeking an active retirement. Plenty of opportunities for recreation make it well suited to an individual wanting to retire. Phoenix has also had a drop in crime rates recently which is an excellent thing for those seeking a peaceful retirement.

You've chosen a really great state to retire in - Arizona is one of the most popular retirement destinations in America. There are a lot of different cities that retirees have been flocking to, but I would have to say that Tucson is the best place to retire. It is a good combination of peace and entertainment.
