The most popular MMORPG is World of Warcraft (WoW), developed by Blizzard, and it must be the best. It has 7 millions subscribers worldwide. 7 millions people can't be wrong. There are no serious competitors of WoW at this time. I believe only next Blizzard secret MMOPRG (Which is under development now) will be able to shatter glory of WoW.

There is an online virtual world called 'Second Life'. Very similar to The Sims, you can create a character and role play. Very cool game.
