I have found lemon and vinegar to be very effective at removing lime build up. Rub lemon juice over the lime build up and scrub with a sponge or try preparing a vinegar and salt mixture let sit on the lime for a few minutes then wipe clean and rinse.

The best lime remover I have found to be so far would be CLR. I used it for my toliet. You just pour it in and allow it to sit for so much time, maybe half an hour or so would be be good enough. You may also possibly need somthing to scrub with to loosen it up some.

Anything acidic should help to remove limescale. For small areas using lime extract should be enough. If a bigger area like a bath tub is affected than you could use vinegar. Add 2 spoons of bicarbonate soda into the vinegar, then it works even better.

To my knowledge there are no commercially available lime build up removers currently on the market. You'll have to scrape off the lime build up with a spatula yourself.
