I love my Osterizer blender. I highly suggest you purchase a blender that has a glass pitcher verses a plastic one. My first blender was cheap and it had a plastic pitcher and within a few uses the pitcher cracked.
The oster classic beehive seems to be the best as far as consumer reviews with very few complaints. The Kalorik BL 16909 also have rave reviews for its performance. Both are a safe quality purchase.
