Suboxone is the brand name for buprenorphine, which is an opioids like morphine, heroin, and codeine. It produces a "high" but not as great as other opioids. As such, it is easier to reduce dependency, which is why Suboxone is used to treat addictions to opiates. Suboxone also contains Naloxone, which blocks the effects of opioids.
