The Pygmy goat is a minature goat. They are extremely intelligent and playful, and will get bored without a companion to play with they make fantastic pets and come in a variety of colours ranging from brown, black and red to golden with white markings. They are also notoriously curious and often get their horns stuck in fences.

Pygmy goats are sociable and friendly. They come in all different natural colors a goat can come in, with males usually being darker and bigger at 40 to 80 lbs and females weighing 35 to 60 pounds. Height at the withers ranges from 16 to 23 inches.

Pygmy goats first came to America sometime in the 1950's from Africa. They are ar smaller than dairy goats but make an acceptabe amount of milk or meat for their size. They can be kept for milk, show, pets, mohair and meat.
