That depends on which zodiac you're looking into. The Western, Capricorn, Saggitarius, etc goes in a monthly fashion. Usually from around the 20th of one month to the next. The Eastern or Chinese zodiac goes by what year you were born and has various attributes assigned to that particular year. Hope that helps a little.

All zodiac signs correspond to specific calendar date ranges. For example, if you were born between December 22 and Janurary 19 in any given year, you are considered a Capricorn. Usually, horoscopes will specify the sign's birth date range but such information can be easily researched in books or online.
