It's a way (or ways) to take two or more pieces of lexan polycarbonate (a type of glass-like plastic) and bind them together (for example to make a box out of flat sheets). It's usually done by brushing on an organic solvent that "melts" the edges together.

Lexan bonding is the process of chemically linking two distinct pieces of lexan together. This can be done with melting, adhering or physically joining the two pieces. Melting would involving heating the plastic up to the melting temperature to fuse the pieces together. Adhering could be glues or solvents to join the pieces. Phyiscally linking would be screws or joints.

Lexan, a polycarbonate, is difficult to glue because of a rubberized agent on the surface. If the pieces were cut with a saw, no preparation is necessary as the glue runs into the joint through capillary action. A more secure fastening method is to cut a wooden cleat that fits the joint and mechanically fastens the two pieces.
