The birthstone is the ruby and it is associated with love and passion. It is supposedly also a symbol of everlasting love because there is said to be a flame inside that makes it glow.

The traditional Birthstone for the Month of July is the Ruby. There are also birthstones assigned based on Zodiac signs. For July based on that, there are two. The first is representing up to July 22nd at that is the Emerald, the second goes until August 23 and that is Onyx.
