Jaundice is a yellowish discoloring of the skin and the white of the eyes which is all caused by bilirubin in the blood.

Jaundice is a yellowing of the skin. It most always occurs with babies who have recently been born; they are placed, if identified as having jaundice, under a special light to clear up the condition. I do not believe it is actually that harmful; it's more a symptom of something else.
