Born in Kentucky, George Clooney is the only son of Nick Clooney and Nina Warren. He is predominantly Irish, as both the Clooneys and the Guilfoyles (his paternal grandmother's family) emigrated from Ireland. On his mother's side, the Warrens had lived in Kentucky for over 100 years before George's birth, however, the Warren surname traces it's roots back to England.
