Franconi's Syndrome is a disease of the kidneys. The renal tubules allow uric acid, glucose, amonio acids, phosphate and bicarbinate to be passed into the urine and eliminated from the body instead of being reabsorbed as they should be. The disease can be genetic, or it may be caused by drugs or poisoning from heavy metals.

It is actually called Fanconi's syndrome and it is a kidney disease. Instead of reabsorbing molecules and nutrients that the body needs, the kidneys excrete them causing deficiencies.

I believe you mean Fanconi's syndrome, not Franconi's syndrome. This is an inherited form of anemia which is hard to cure, but some patients have undergone bone marrow transplants with some success.
