Egyptian pound (EGP) and Piastres (1/100EGP). They are 9 different nominal banknotes and 6 different nominal coins in the circulation. Banknotes are denominated as 25 and 50 piastres, and 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 pounds. Coins are: 5, 10, 20, 25 and 50 piastres, and 1 pound.

They're called the Egyptian pounds, and are currently worth around 0.18 u. s. dollars per Egyptian pound. They have used the pound in Egypt since the British colonized the whole of northern Africa in the 1800 s; it is divided into 100 and 1000 like many other currencies around the world.
