It sounds to me like "age-spots" are showing up on your hands. The way our skin produces melanin begins to change. Melanin is a substance that our bodies produce to protect our skin from the sun. It is a pigment that protects the inner layers of the skin. And as we age, there are some spots that have been over-exposed.

Any number of things could be causing the dark spots including chemical reaction or burns, dye, bruising, allergic reaction and nicotine. Without having seen your hands or your medical profile I would be just guessing. Your best bet is to see your health provider and have the benefit of their years of training. Good Luck.

Some sort of infection or alergy of soap / detergent or any other item is the cause of dark spots on your finger.

you must be suffering from some medical condition for which you should have detailed medical exam. There might be some other possibility that your working conditions are making these dark spots, for example if you were working outdoors and without proper gear you could develop this condition. One final thought is that you might be getting older now.

Dark spots on the fingers could have several different causes, including new moles or freckles, a pigmentation disorder or an allergic reaction to medication.

It could be some time of infection or allergy. Have you changed soaps or detergent lately. That can cause the dark spots. Also your intake of iron could be low. You may want to take iron supplements.

They are likely "liver spots," though they have nothing to do with your liver. They are the result of accumulative sun damage over the years, when you have neglected to use sunscreen on your hands.

Those can be from a couple of different factors. Have you been writing with ink pens lately? This may have seeped into your skin. If not, go to a doctor.

Please see your doctor. You could have some problems with circulation or you may have contacted something from a product you've been around. Be safe and schedule an appointment.
