Borrelia is a bacteria that is transmitted by ticks and sometimes lice. It is commonly referred to as "Lyme Disease". As the bacteria spreads from the site of where it enters the skin, a rash and flu-like symptoms may occur. Most cases are curable with antibiotics which differ depending on if the infection is in the early or late stages.

It is a bacteria that causes Lyme Disease, which is transmitted to humans by ticks, and borreliosis, which is transmitted by body lice. If caught in early stages, the diseases it causes can usually be cured by taking oral antibiotics like doxycycline, amoxicillin or cephalosporin for four to six weeks. If not, hospitalization may be necessary.
