An azulene is an isomer of naphthalene that comes from chamomile. It is an organic compound. Naphthalene is colorless, but azulene is dark blue; hence, its name from the Spanish word azul, which means "blue" Azulene is an anti-inflammatory that is used in body lotions, burn ointments, bath preparations and sunburn creams.
