"autopostback" is a mechanism allowing a page to be posted back to the server automatically, based on several kind of events. For instance, when a user selects a value in a combo box, we can automatically send a request to the server (to update the form or check user input)

Autopostback decides if the page is posted back to the server. This is used for listbox control. This would occur when a user decides to choose something in a list control.
