What is an extruded base?

The extruded base concerns snow boards and describes the way a board is made. The base is the part of the board that comes in contact with the snow, and extruded means that the board will be smoother and less porous, or rejecting wax, then a sintered base board.

It is related mostly to snowboards. The way the board is made, it is thicker and the wax doesn't stick well to it. They are easier to produce thus less-expensive.

Well it's a base that is found on a snowboard. It's a type of base that will work best along snow.
