What is an "atomic" alarm clock?

Does it have to do with "Lost"?

An atomic alarm clock is a clock that is set by a central clock. The atomic clock recieves radio waves from a central clock that is always correct. You never have to change this clock for the time changes. It will also never run too fast or too slow.

An atomic alarm clock is a regular alarm clock, but instead of having to set it yourself it sets itself by the use of the atomic clock in the country.
