IN the simplest terms a tuner car is justa stock car that has been tweaked or tuned. It can be tuned for looks or performance -maybe both.

A "tuner" is a specific style of custom car. It refers to later style import and sometimes domestic cars. The name comes from the process of tuning that is done to the engine in order to gain more power. Some tuner cars include the Mitsubishi Evolution and the Honda Civic.
