A townhouse is a dwelling that's similar to an apartment. It's usually larger than an apartment with neighbors sharing the walls on the sides of the home. Townhouses do not have neighbors above or below them.
A townhome is simply a single family dwelling that does not have any side yard requirements. You own it outright with no obligations to or for the attached townhomes.
