A netbook is a mini notebook or an ultra portable laptop, usually only used for basic computing and internet access. Screen sizes range from 5 to 10 inches and they usually weigh under 3 pounds.

Well they are just smaller and less functional versions of a normal laptop. The main purpose of them is just to connect and browse the internet. They are cheaper though.

A netbook is a small laptop. It is generally used for computing tasks that do not take a lot of computing power such as web browsing or listening to music.

A netbook essentially is just a watered-down laptop. It usually has a slower processor, less ram, and usually doesn't come with a cd/dvd drive.
