Are you talking about THE song "Istanbul"? That song is actually called "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)" and is a great swing number! The original version was by Four Lads, but there are quite a few cover versions that were released. You can listen to the song on Rhapsody.

The cover version I like the best is by They Might Be Giants from the album "Flood". Sounds sweet!!  add a comment

I assume you wanna know about Turkish music. Turkey has great music style and it ranges from Classical, Folk, Kanto and also a lot of western genres like rock, metal, pop etc. You can find several videos on youtube and that may be a great way to start your hunt.

I only know one Istanbul song. It goes something like "Istanbul was Constantinople, Istanbul was Constantinople, why they changed it I can't say... people just liked it better that way. " This is a jazzy old song from the 1920's. It was featured on the soundtrack of Mona Lisa Smile and on Tiny Toons Adventures.
