Kitchen walls can be of ANY color depending on one's personal style, of course. Will the kitchen have a southwestern theme? Colors to consider: oranges, browns, reds, and greens for example. There are many styles ranging from modern to country. Be creative and do not limit oneself to ONE color.

It all depends upon what "look" you want. Yellow is a great, cheerful color, and makes you "feel good. " Dark colors are not good as they are too depressing.

Don't choose something that is really dark if your kitchen is not large. Pick a color that looks visually stimulating but doesn't overwhelm you when you look at it on the walls.

A good color for your kitchen walls is one that matches your personality and that makes you happy. Personally I am a huge fan of red.
