Did u mean pap smear? it's a procedure to take a sample from the cervix so we can know every changes there that maybe leading to cancer.

Yes it is one kind of a test.Cervical smear or pap smear is the same.Medical practitioner will get a small amount of smear inside us to have it examined in a laboratory through the help of advance technology.Women should practice this test every six months, it will help women to prevent from getting cervical cancer.
