What impact did Ulrich Zwingli have on Switzerland as we know it today?

There's not much written about him.

Zwingli can be compared to Martin Luther in that he was a reformer and an agent which brought Protestanism to Switzerland. Thus, his effect on the country today has mostly to do with the religious orientation of Swiss society. Without Zwingli, Switzerland would have been dominated by Catholic Rome, but is now more pluralistic in terms of religion.

He is a man who changed the way his nation, Switzerland viewed religion. Saving his country from the yoke of the Catholic Church, Zwingli gave his people the freedom to have a more open view of theology.

Along with Luther and Calvin, Zwingli was one of the leaders of the Protestant Reformation in the 1500's. He was responsible for the formation of the Protestant church in Switzerland.

Ulrich Zwingli was instrumental in the The Reformation of Swiss Theology, And other social issue's of his day. Similar to the work of Martin Luther,Zwingli was a pastor in Zurich where he began to preach ideas on reforming the Catholic Church. He was killed at the age of 47.
