Question by  gigi2005 (1)

What effects would a TSH of 15.44 have on my driving and work?

Since my results, they have increased my synth from 125 to 150. I really feel horrible!!! I had a total removal of my thyroid 2 months ago. Any thoughts?

My thoughts: If you are concerned TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR. Coming here for advice from a bunch of lay know-nothings is hardly wise, especially if you are "overly concerned." Call your physician.

You are probably experiencing the effects of hyperthyroidism still, even though your thyroid was removed. With a TSH five times the normal amount, your body is basically wondering why the thyroid isn't there. You could experience weight and temperature fluctuations.

Nothing should be really affected but your hair may fall out. Your doctor should put you on some medicine, which may affect your work and driving.

Elevated values of TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) are seen in patients on thyroxine therapy. However, the way you feel could likely have an adverse effect on your driving and work performance. Call your doctor!
