Depends on what you dream. Are you telling the friend how you feel about the hurt? Is the friend in trouble? Most likely it means unresolved issues regarding that friend.

When a friend hurts you in your dream means consciously or unconsciously I hurt his feelings and thats why I am feeling guilty so I want to complete that episode in my dream by 'getting hurt' by him! Mind wants to complete the chapter and release the burden.

You could have simply been thinking about your friend that day and that's why you're dreaming about her. You could also be subconsciously afraid that your friend will hurt you.

It means there is some unresolved tension in the relationship, or it means that some kind of fight, or a tendency of the two of you to bicker, esp. if a male/female friendship, that your fighting is a way of being intimate without "being intimate. "

If someone that hurts you in reality and you have that person in your dreams then that means that the said friend is really missing you, remembering you from the core of his heart and wants to make amends on meeting you. His hurting could turn out to be in true friendship.
