Moles that begin to itch may be a sign of malignant melanoma and should be checked out by your doctor immediately. Cancer is not always the cause of itching, you could have dry skin or allergies which could be causing a temporary itch.

Any changes to a mole should be closely monitered, changes in colour,bleeding and itching could be a sign of skin cancer.Changes must be checked by a Doctor immediately.

If you have an itchy mole you should get it checked up by the doctor especially if they have only just started to itch recently. It is important not to scratch it because that could make the situation worse. I would also recommend protection from very hot sunshine.
