What does it mean if a person is passing gall stones?

Does it mean they have to get surgery?

Passing gallstones means that the gallstones have cleared the gallbladder and will make its way to the digestive system. Passing gallstones usually relieves a gallstone attack and does not require surgery unless this happens very frequently and is very painful.

passing gall stones means the stones attempt to go through the duct instead of dissolving. many times these stones have to be removed by surgical procedures.
