A hematoma or bruising looks like a swelling or bump under the cats skin. You will usually find them on ears caused by mites. Treatment is usually best done by a veterinarian due to the need to lance and drain the site, to prevent scare tissue build up and infection.

A hematoma appears to be bumps on bruises, usually appearing to be located under your felines skin. If you're unsure, you need to contact your vet immediately.

Hematoma typically occurs in the ear flap where blood accumulates after an injury or infection. The ear flap will develop significant swelling and may be quite painful. The cat may tilt the head and/or shake or paw at the ear.

They mainly get them on their ears and paws and are nothing more than a simple bruise. Keep an eye on it and if it seems to get worse or really bother your cat, and doesn't go away on its own, then you should consult a veterinarian on what to do from there about it.

Aural hematoma is when blood vessels break on the cat's ear flap and blood clots. It then gets stuck between the cartilage and skin. The ear swells and is hot.
