What does a code mean when it says "system too lean"?

I have a Toyota Corolla.

Well "lean" or "rich" conditions refer to the fuel system. Lean means the engine is getting less then the necessary amount of fuel it needs to run properly.

I think it means oxgen sensor problem. When you have an oxygen sensor issue you can tell because when you hit the gas pedal It doesn't go as strong. The problem will most likely be bank 1. Bank 1 means cylinder 1 on motor.
