It's not much different from the other topical muscle strain relievers like Icy Hot or Bengay. All that varies is the amount of menthol in each formulation. Everyone however has their own preference.

I think you may be referring to the muscle relaxant, Flexeril. Flexril is a prescription muscle relaxant and is used to treat a variety of muscular and skeletal problems including sprains, spasms, and pain. The biggest thing to remember about Flexeril is that it is a muscle relaxant so it causes drowsiness and fatigue.

Flexall is like any other medication. It depends on your circumstances, your tolerance to pain, the actual problem causing the pain (if it's a broken bone, nothing will stop the pain) and the other medications you may be on.
